A chilling discovery was made on the Delhi-Lucknow Highway in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district when a woman's body was found stuffed inside a red suitcase. Commuters noticed the suitcase abandoned on the service road and alerted the police.
Upon opening the suitcase, officers found the body of a woman, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, with visible injury marks across her body. According to forensic assessments, the injuries suggest she may have died approximately 24 hours before the suitcase was discovered.
A police team, accompanied by forensic experts, quickly secured the area and conducted a detailed examination. The suitcase also contained a few articles of clothing, though no identification documents were found. The woman’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Speaking to the media, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vineet Bhatnagar stated that the investigation is focused on uncovering the woman’s identity and piecing together the events leading to her death. “The injury marks raise suspicions of foul play,” he added.
Police are scanning CCTV footage from the highway and nearby areas to track movements in the hours before the suitcase appeared. Locals and commuters have also been questioned for potential leads.
This grim incident has sparked outrage and concern about safety on the highway, with police urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately.
